Okami HD Brings Beauty To The PlayStation 3

With all the hype for triple A titles that are coming out in the next couple weeks, it’s not hard to over look the release of an HD remake, no matter how great the game was originally. It doesn’t help that this game has already been remade once before. Okami made it’s big debut on the PlayStation 2 back in 2006. Although it didn’t sell well, it is still spoken about with high regard, as it should be. It was re-released on the Wii in 2008, but some had problems with the whole motion control thing. Well now they are going for a 3rd release but they have given it a bit of a face lift, and added PlayStation Move support. If you have ever played Okami, then you would be able to understand why I am so excited for this. The art style is stunningly beautiful, and in HD, it will be even more amazing.

Okami HD is a story about Amaterasu, the goddess of the sun who takes the form of a white wolf. Who has been summoned by Sakuya, a wood sprite, and is asked to save the land of Nippon from the curse of the evil spirits that were released by Orochi, the eight-headed demon. Along with the help of Issun, an inch tall artist, you play as Ammy (Amaterasu) and use her power of the Celestial Brush to purify the land and save the people. You’ll meet a bunch of interesting characters, see beautiful villages, and kick tons of demon butt along the way. It’s a game that everyone should play at least once, if not more than that.

Have a look at this trailer for Okami HD and if it peaks your interest, then head on over to the PlayStation Store right now and download it for a mere $19.99. You won’t regret it.
