I’m the first to admit that I’m a sucker for a good collector’s edition of a game. I was already looking forward to the prospect of buying the “Super Dangerous Wub Wub Edition” of Saints Row IV, with a replica Dubstep Gun, but Volition and Deep Silver have upped the ante. Today, they’ve announced their “Game of the Generation” edition of Saints Row IV.
The Game of the Generation edition comes with all of the goodies that the Super Dangerous Wub Wub Edition comes with, including a Johnny Gat memorial statue, a replica Dubstep Gun and a Dubstep Doomsday gun, along with a slew of bonus DLC. However, what makes this edition stand out is the light-up, rotating display case for your copy of Saints Row IV. Deep Silver is only putting out 5000 of these and with a price of $129.99, it’s actually far more reasonable than some other collector’s editions of games, plus you get a freaking light up case for your game!
On top of that, Deep Silver has put out a new “Hail to the Chief” video, displaying one of the new weapons in Saints Row IV and it looks awesome.
Saints Row IV will be available on August 20th, 2013.
