XBLA Weekly: February 20, 2013

Written by on February 20, 2013 in [, , , , , ]

This week has a couple of choices for us to consider. Let’s get right to it, shall we?

First up, since it’s already been reviewed here on TMG: Serious Sam Double D XXL. The reviewer’s thunder I shall not steal; head to the review to see more about this game!

Next, something for the nostalgic gamer: Capcom Arcade Cabinet. This game just screams “copy cat” of another title from a few years ago called Game Room. There are five game packs that are coming out for this, releasing every other week. The first pack, out today, is just 400 MS Points. The following four packs are currently priced at 800 MS Points each. For those that are patient, there will be an “all-in-one” pack available for 2000 MS Points once all of the packs have come out individually. This, of course, will save you 1600 points if you wait. Oh, and the all-in-one pack comes with two mystery games for free. No word on if there will be future packs beyond that, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated.

Each pack has three classic games from Capcom’s library and week 1 games are: Black Tiger, 1943: Battle of Midway, and Avenger. We’ll put out a little reminder over the next few weeks about what’s new in the Cabinet for that week.

So, with this week’s releases: Serious Sam: Double D XXL and Capcom Game Cabinet there’s a little bit of old, and a little bit of new to pick from.

Happy Gaming!
