The Married Gamers Part Ways with Platform Nation

The Married Gamers Part Ways with Platform Nation

Written by on January 15, 2010 in

Today we announce that our podcast and site, The Married Gamers are parting ways with Platform Nation, but not from their community. We continue to respect, love, and listen to many of the podcasts that make up Platform Nation. Podcasts like Digital Cowboys, The Fanboys, Gamehounds, Some Other Castle, and Target Demographic are our independent brother and sisters in video game podcasting whether or not we share the same network banner. We wish all the Platform Nation podcasters, writing staff, and especially Steve Artlip the best in the future.

When we first joined Platform Nation on July 9, 2008, many people wondered why our podcast would join up with a community such as Platform Nation. To that I want to say that Platform Nation wasn’t always the perfect fit, but it was one of our best decisions, not only for the podcast but for both Kelly and myself. I continue to admire their independent spirit.

Despite our love for Platform Nation we are leaving the network out of respect for our TMG community members, listeners and gamers who are diverse and valuable to us which sometimes ran congruent to the views expressed on some P*N member shows.

We thank everyone at Platform Nation for helping make TMG a better podcast, helping us gain a better footing in the gaming community, and for gaining some lifelong friends and colleagues.

And as for the future of The Married Gamers? Let’s just say we have something very special and exciting up our sleeves.
