With the release of GTA IV the nutcases are coming out of the woodwork. If for some reason you’d like to raise your blood pressure, you can see JT’s appearance on the Glenn Beck show where he tosses around his favorite term (“murder simulator”) a few times. While he rails about how we must protect the chillun he of course manages to ignore the fact that the game is rated M and it really should be the responsibility of the parents to ensure their kids aren’t playing it in the first place.
In an interesting turn of events, the authors of Grand Theft Childhood are going to be on Beck’s show tonight. It should be interesting to see how a more objective point of view is portrayed. I just hope it doesn’t end up like Geoff Keighley’s appearance a while back.
