Originally released in North America in November of 1993, Tecmo Super Bowl for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System became an immediate classic. Almost two decades later, TECMO KOEI AMERICA officially announces a remake of this 16-bit favorite, named TECMO BOWL THROWBACK.

The gameplay that garnered such a strong following will remain intact, but with the addition of online multiplayer and leaderboards. Most notable is the 3D graphics. For those that want to take a stroll down memory lane, there will be an option to switch to the classic 2D visual style.

The game will be released via Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network only in North American when Spring 2010 rolls around.
