Celebrate Cinco de Mayo Splosion’ Style: Ms.Splosion Man’s Splokour Challenge

The folks at Twisted Pixel have a knack for not only creating amazing games, but also for consistently coming out with ridiculously fun challenges to ensure you will never get tired of playing.  In honor of Cinco de Mayo (or Cinco de Drinko as I like to call it), Twisted Pixel is launching their fourth themed challenge, “Splokour”  for Ms. Splosion Man on the Xbox Live Arcade.  The top five leaders in this challenge will receive a copy of Twisted Pixel’s next Xbox title (to be announced at E3 June 5th, 2012), and a Ms. Splosion Man plushie.  You may remember me trying to steal this plushie during our interview with Twisted Pixel’s Jay Stuckwisch  at PAX East 2012.

Here’s an explanation of the challenge:

In “Splokour”, Ms. Splosion Man does her take on the physical discipline phenome: parkour.  Gracefully guide the femme fatale through the whole level without ever once touching the ground.  For every time she hits the pavement the game will add 10 seconds to your final time, so try your best to stay airborne.

Everyone can take part in this challenge.  I plan on forcing my ten year old son to play the game the entire weekend as a birthday present to me.  Before you go accusing me of being some evil gaming slave driver of a Mother, know that he loves Ms. Splosion Man, so I’m sure it won’t be such a hardship for him.

You can find the challenge in the main menu of the game.  If you cannot get to the main menu of the game that probably means that you do not own the game.  Fix this immediately by purchasing it here.  The contest runs from May 5th – 20th, 2012 which gives you plenty of time to get your “splode” on.   If you want to learn about the other wonderful games out there by Twisted Pixel, check out their website.  If you are one of the lucky few going to E3 this year, make sure you stop by their spectacularly designed booth and tell them we said “Hi!”.
