Front Towards Gamer’s 24 Hour Gaming Marathon

Our friends over at Front Towards Gamer are having a 24 hour gaming marathon to raise money for their Operation Drop Box Campaigns. Operation Drop Box Campaigns raise money to send care packages to our men and women who are deployed over in Afghanistan. The company that the people at FTG are doing the Operation Drop Box for that month will send a wish list and then FTG will do their best to try to fulfill the said list. FTG has been doing these campaigns for 2 years now and it is time to celebrate. This is what the 24 hour gaming marathon is all about.

There are going to be two separate parts to this marathon. The first part can be found on the Xbox Dashboard for the Community Playdate. Look for them there in order to find who you need to find out which gamertags to search out to play with. From 5pm Pacific Time/8pm Eastern Time until 8pm Pacific Time/11pm Eastern Time everyone will be playing multiplayer on Mass Effect 3. This will be a great time to get those online achievements that you have been waiting to get.

After the Xbox Community Playdate, FTG is going to be doing 24 more hours of gaming. This is their charity drive. It will be focusing mainly on the Xbox 360, however they do have some folks who are trying to get some sessions on the PS3 and on the PC. Here is what the current lineup looks like:

11pm-2am – War Block – Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3/Battlefield 3 (Xbox/PS3)
2am-5am – Aliens Block – Gears of War 3 (Xbox) Halo Reach (Xbox) Resistance 3 (PS3)
5am-8am – Super Hero Block – Gotham City Impostors (Xbox/PS3)
8am-11am – Driving Block – Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit/Blur (Xbox/PS3)
11am-2pm – Free For All Editor’s/Community Choice (L4D2, Street Fighter, Brink, Bulletstorm, etc)
2pm-5pm – Horde Space Block – Mass Effect 3, (Xbox/PS3) Gears of War 3 (Xbox)
5pm-8pm – War Block – Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3/Battlefield 3 (Xbox/PS3)
8pm- MIDNIGHT: Final Stretch: JUST SURVIVE FREE FOR ALL.

The way that they are raising money for Operation Drop Box is that they are going to be raffling off different items that have been donated to them from Astro, Popcap, Ubisoft, Bioware, and THQ and different times throughout the gaming marathon to people who are in the US and Canada (due to shipping cost). The cost for the raffle tickets are $3. Depending on the number of raffle tickets purchased will determine your chances of winning a prize, so the more tickets that you purchase you will actually sweeten the chances that you will win something. Also you do not need to be present at the event in order to win the prize.

One of the big prizes that they are giving away is this for one lucky winner:

An Astro Gaming A40 wireless gaming headset valued at $279. That is not a bad deal for putting your name into the running for $3.

There are three simple ways that you are able to donate:

1) Use the Chipin link on the front of Front Towards Gamer.com OR
2) Use the Chipin link on the front page of Operation Supply Drop.org. OR
3) Make a Paypal donation to donations@operationsupplydrop.org

During the course of the night and day if you are trying to figure out who you should be playing with for the different games, here are a list of different members of the Front Towards Gamer team mates who will be around:
