Here is the new Resident Evil 6 trailer from Capcom. Starring LEON!!!
Honestly, I am excited. I have lauded Resident Evil 4 as the greatest game ever (and I still stand by that), yet RE5 was a major disappointment for me. It did what games have been doing for far too long in that they think that “bigger is better.” While, yes, more drama and a bigger story can be better, the problem is, if developers keep using that mentality we’ll get a future Resident Evil game IN SPAAAAAACE. Wait… they already did… and it was Dead Space… hmm…
Anyway, the trailer looks interesting to say the least. I’m excited to see Leon back and hope he is just as much of a dork as he was in RE4. I mean, seriously, he had the best lines ever. It seems that co-op is back, which was one of the parts I did enjoy of RE5, and it seems as though there are quite a few story lines to follow. It looks like there is a dodge mechanic in the game, which could be good as long as it’s not a gimmick. It also looks like there’s a cover based combat which could make the game better.
I’ll just have to wait and see how it develops. Resident Evil 6 looks more like a horror game this time around with Leon, and you’ll also have action parts with Chris, so this could actually work. However, I wonder who that other guy is, who was doing all the kung fu fighting? Looking forward to finding out!
